Pag-IBIG Fund recently gave a special recognition to electronic banking consortium BancNet as its partner in the service of Pag-ibig Fund members. The award was presented during ceremonies highlighted by the 2015 State of the Fund Address at the SMX Convention Center. Pag-ibig chairman Atty. Chito Cruz and president and CEO Atty. Darlene Marie Berberabe presented the award to BancNet assistant vice president Christopher Gene Lapuz.
BancNet was recognized “for providing Pag-ibig Fund with electronic collection and disbursement solutions which greatly improved the ease and convenience of Fund transactions.” Through BancNet’s Electronic Government System or E-Gov for short, employers who are clients of BancNet member banks are able to file reports and remit the monthly contributions and loan repayments of their employees to Pag-ibig easily and conveniently online. Through this system, employers save time and manpower and transportation costs otherwise incurred in manual filing and payment transactions at Pag-ibig offices.
E-Gov also accepts reports and remittance of SSS contributions and loan repayments as well as Philhealth contributions, thus effectively being a one-stop shop where employers in the private sector can remit government-mandated contributions and loan payments 24/7.
