Bills Pay PH launched for better online bills payment

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and Philippine Payments Management Inc. recently launched Bills Pay Ph, a bills payment facility that enables customers of a participating bank or e-wallet to pay partner billers of other banks and e-wallets, using their mobile banking or e-wallet apps. Bills Pay Ph now provides shared access to more than 700 billers even if the billers’ service providers are different from the customer’s bank or e-wallet. These include local as well as national companies such as basic utilities, telcos, cable providers, schools, and insurance and financing companies.

Paying bills is now more convenient. A customer or subscriber does not have to go to a payment center or a bank branch to pay and he does not need to maintain accounts at his billers’ collection partners. He only has to make a few clicks on his bank or e-wallet app anytime and anywhere.

Bills Pay Ph transactions can be made in two ways: 1) by scanning a QR Ph code on the bill and 2) by typing the payment details (non-QR mode). Paying via the QR Ph mode is not only faster and easier but also reduces the chance of making errors in typing biller details. If the code is a dynamic one, the customer does not have to type anything. All he has to do is scan the code and his payment is done.

Bills Pay Ph not only saves time and effort for customers but also money because no service fee is charged for each payment transaction.

Customers who have accounts with AllBank, Asia United Bank (AUB), BDO Unibank, China Bank, PNB, Queen City Development Bank, RCBC, Tayocash, Union Bank, USSC Money Services, and Wealth Development Bank can now make digital payments through Bills Pay Ph.

Meanwhile, partner billers of AllBank, BDO Unibank, BPI, CIS Bayad Center, Metrobank, RCBC, Tayocash, Union Bank, USSC Money Services, and Wealth Development Bank are now able to receive online payments from a wider set of customers.

Bills Pay Ph runs on InstaPay, the real-time electronic fund transfer service available on partner bank and e-wallet apps and operated by BancNet, the country’s largest electronic payments network.
