BancNet, the country’s largest electronic banking consortium announced that during their annual meeting recently, its stockholders elected the members of its board of directors for the term 2015-2016.
Elected were: Roberto C. Benares (Bank of Commerce), Ricardo Chua (China Bank), Abraham T. Co (Asia United Bank), Cezar P. Consing (Bank of the Philippine Islands), Anirvan Ghosh Dastidar (Standard Chartered Bank), Fabian Dee (Metrobank), Reynaldo A. Maclang (PNB), Antonio C. Moncupa (East West Bank), Roberto F. de Ocampo (Veterans Bank), Justo A. Ortiz (Union Bank), Gilda E. Pico (Land Bank), Cecilio Paul D. San Pedro (Sterling Bank), Lorenzo V.Tan (RCBC), Nestor V. Tan (BDO), and Alberto S. Villarosa (Security Bank).
During their organizational meeting that followed, the directors elected Nestor V. Tan as chairman, Ricardo R. Chua as president, Reynaldo A. Maclang as treasurer, Aristeo P. Zafra, Jr. as general manager and chief operations officer, Agnes H, Maranan as corporate secretary, Joven DB Hernandez as assistant treasurer, and Elmarie S. Reyes as assistant corporate secretary.
Tan is the president of BDO while Chua is the president of China Bank.
The new Board also created an Operations Committee which is tasked to translate into detailed operating policies and procedures the policies and directions that the Board sets and to ensure the smooth operations of the company. The Committee members appointed were: Carmelita R. Araneta (Bank of Commerce), Dennis C. Bancod (RCBC), Abigail M. Del Rosario (Standard Chartered Bank), Jesus Vicente O. Garcia (Veterans Bank), Joven D.B. Hernandez (PNB), Dennis L. Matutina (Union Bank), Tomas Victor A. Mendoza (BDO), Randolph L. Montesa (Land Bank), Mark B. Perez (Metrobank), Wilfredo E. Rodriguez, Jr. (Asia United Bank), Gerardo Susmerano (East West Bank), Manuel C. Tagaza (BPI), Alfredo C. Vitangcol, Jr. (Sterling Bank), William C. Whang (China Bank), and Daniel U. Yu (Security Bank).
